- Katerina Veselovskaya
About the artist
Katerina pursues the borderline of states, colliding antipodes. She scratches gloss, liquefies solid materials by melting, imprints counter-reliefs, turns volumes inside out. Using the inversion effect, the artist strives to penetrate beyond the visible surface and extract sounds from the material that are not characteristic of it. Much of the creative practice is devoted to the study of cultural archetypes and manifestations of the occult and their interactions with modern science and philosophy.
