About the artist
The practice of St. Petersburg–based artist Evgenia Yermolaeva explores mechanisms of individual and collective memory through engagement with archival materials, personal photographs, and found images. In her projects, Yermolaeva reveals the nature of memory and its impact on the construction of reality, balancing between documentary foundations and artistic interpretation. Combining traditional techniques with experimental approaches, she creates multilayered visual narratives in which personal history enters into dialogue with collective experience, inviting viewers to reflect on how memories shape our present.
