In her watercolours, the artist Maria Kurbatova combines several techniques: she applies multi-layered glazes and 'a la prima' washes on both dry and damp paper. Her favourite subjects include female and child figures in historical costumes, these are the characters from the world of fantasy and dreams. The artist's pieces create a dreamy atmosphere of tranquility and magic.
