About the artist
Sergey Danchev was born in 1981 in Karaganda (Kazakhstan). Studied in the Ivanovo regional art school from 1996 to 2001. In 2003 he entered the faculty of painting of the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute painting, sculpture and architecture named after I. E. Repin. From 2005 to 2008 the artist studied at the workshop of monumental painting under the guidance of A. A. Mylnikov. In 2009 he graduated from workshop of monumental painting under the guidance of Professor S. N. Repin, received a red diploma. The diploma work "Silence" was praised by the Council of the SAC.

From 2009 to 2012 he worked in easel creative workshop under the guidance of Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Vera Mylnikova.

Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists since 2010.

In 2012 Sergey was awarded a diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts
for pedagogical success in the education of young artists.

The senior lecturer in the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin.

The assistant in painting and composition workshop of Professor Y. V. Kalyuta.

The assistant in the creative workshop of easel painting under the guidance of V. S. Pesikov.

In 2015 Sergey was awarded a diploma of the Russian Academy
of Arts for participation in the exhibition "Images of Memory" in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts.

In 2015 the artist was awarded the Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.

In 2016 Sergey was awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy
Arts for a great contribution to the organization and participation in the traveling All-Russian exhibition "Picturesque Russia".

Artist`s artworks are in private collections in USA, China, Italy,
Russia, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan, Finland. And also, the collection of Vyatsky
Art Museum named after V.M. and A.M. Vasnetsov (Kirov).
