The exhibition presents paintings made in one of the most controversial genres in the history of art. In her work, the
artist Angelina Ponomareva turns to the depiction of nudity, creates paintings in the nude genre (from the French nu - "naked, naked"). Having dedicated most of her life to the art of drawing and painting, Angelina Ponomareva discovered the nude genre relatively recently. In her work, she always gave preference to the image of a person, loved to paint people in different techniques. However, in order to start working in the nude genre, Angelina had to overcome internal prohibitions. The artist admits that she was able to do this only with the help of her husband, who inspired her to try herself in this genre. That is how the interaction of the masculine and feminine principles formed the basis for the creation of paintings.
Angelina Ponomareva's creative philosophy is to see not only external, physical beauty, but also to feel the connection between the body and soul. When creating her works, the artist relies on her brilliant knowledge of anatomy and the structure of the human body, and solves pictorial problems in her paintings using bright, contrasting colors. Many of the artist's works, presented at the exhibition for the first time, stand out not only for their coloring, but also for their unusual plots. However, they should not be perceived literally, but allegorically, as fantasies, images from dreams and the subconscious. It is this approach to the artist's presentation of nudes that attracts the attention of collectors around the world and gives the artist's work deep meanings.
