The exhibition presents paintings made in one of the most controversial genres in the history of art. In her work, the
artist Angelina Ponomareva turns to the depiction of nudity, creates paintings in the nude genre (from the French nu - "naked"). Having dedicated most of her life to the art of drawing and painting, Angelina Ponomareva discovered the nude genre relatively recently. In her work, she always gives preference to the image of a person and paints people in different techniques. However, in order to start working in the nude genre, she had to overcome internal prohibitions. The artist admits that she was able to do this only with the help of her husband, who inspired her to try herself in this genre. That is how the interaction of the masculine and feminine energy formed the basis for her paintings.
Angelina Ponomareva's creative philosophy is to see not only external, physical beauty, but also to feel the connection between the body and soul. When creating her works, the artist relies on her knowledge of anatomy of the human body, and solves pictorial problems in her paintings using bright, contrasting colours. Many of the artist's works are presented at the exhibition for the first time. Her pieces should be perceived not literally, but allegorically, as fantasies, images from dreams and the subconscious.
