Art critic's comment

The paintings by Alexander Oligerov are full of both figurative and abstract motives. In his work, the author reserves the freedom to choose from variety of artistic techniques, correlating these with images, which come to the artist's mind during creative process. The use of bright colours and the author's experiments with combinations of smooth shapes and expressively curved lines define the characteristic style of his artworks.

The originality of Alexander Oligerov's works consists in the inclusion of text as a graphic element in the composition of paintings. These "unwritten verses" serve the artist to indicate his presence in the work of art. By applying unreadable texts in his own handwriting, the artist, in fact, includes self-portraits in their works. According to the author, this is practically the only way to leave their personal imprint within an artwork, because often the artist acts simply as a conductor of all kinds of existing artistic images in real world.
