In his pieces, the artist Anton Polushin builds a dialogue between abstract art and metaphorical nature of existence. His signature technique is distinguished by the use of multi-layered textures and transparent paints in combination with gold and silk, which allows achieving unexpected colour solutions. Exploring the boundaries of human perception, the artist perceives a canvas as a place to reflect on time, the universe and our identity. As a result, each viewer may find individual meanings in the artist’s paintings.
Anton Polushin uses the means of abstract art and the semantics of colours to express contradictory emotions and to conceive philosophical categories associated with the Eternity, Life and our inner world. In the artist's pieces, these themes and categories are entwined, demonstrating his focus on interaction and dialogue. However, the major motif of Anton Polushin's work is the desire to understand the energy of Infinity, in which there is no Good or Evil, but there is only a constant interaction between these two forces, from which everything new is born, develops, and then again immerses into Infinity.
