Art critic's comment
The artist's paintings impress with an unusual combination of detail, almost raised to the level of hyperrealism, and surreallistic scenes. His pieces seem to be inspired by associative images from dreams and the depths of the subconscious. In each painting, a narrative unfolds, all personages are endowed with characters and an inner world, it seems that their stories expand far beyond the two-dimensionality of canvas. The artist captures the viewer's attention with the scenes in his paintings, which manifest either irony, and even grotesque features, or dreaminess and romantic ideas. The paintings fascinate viewers with the stories, which they are telling. Also, the artworks are masterfully executed from the technical point of view. Stanislav Plutenko has developed a special technique, he paints in oil and acrylic, applies tempera and watercolour. In addition, the artist masterfully uses airbrushing effects in his paintings.
