About the artist
Slava explores the relationship between the material world and modern technology. The interconnection of the physical and the unreal is reflected in the surrealist pictorial images and in the fluidity of lines, and the atmosphere of mysticism of his works. In semi-abstract subjects he constructs new myths about modernity.
Slava Nesterov was born in 1989 in Perm, lives and works in Moscow. He graduated from Perm State National Research University in Contemporary Theories of Human Capital (2012) and then from the Joseph Bakstein Institute of Contemporary Art (2019).
