About the artist
Vyacheslav Savvich Mikhailov was born in 1945 in the small village of Arzgir in the Stavropol Territory. He studied at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin, specializing in painting, and studied in the workshop of the outstanding professor E. E. Moiseenko. Currently, he lives and continues his creative work in St. Petersburg, where his work has found its inspiring environment.
Vyacheslav Mikhailov is one of the most recognizable and respected artists in St. Petersburg. The author was lucky enough to find his own unique and expressive artistic language, which makes his works easily recognizable and valuable. A feature of his work is the rich textured expressiveness, which gives his paintings a special depth and volume. Mikhailov creates series of works covering a variety of themes and genres: from picturesque genre scenes to complex multi-figure compositions and biblical subjects, which testifies to his wide range and skill.
