The exhibition presents artworks that convey the artist's impressions from trips around Russia and abroad. Natalia Dmitrieva is passionate about travelling and always desires to discover picturesque places in new cities and countries. The artist's work is notable for virtuosity of manner. She is inspired by the views of the Chusovaya River, the center of Yekaterinburg, and familiar landscapes with ancient Russian churches. Natalya Dmitrieva notices beauty wherever her travels take her: seascapes breathing freshness, marinas with white yachts, cozy streets of Georgia, etc.
Natalya Dmitrieva is proficient in classical techniques, but the artist always prefers watercolor and works mainly in the 'plein air.' The term 'en plein air' in French means 'in the open air.' Using the effects of watercolor technique allows the artist to convey all the variety of colours and tones, the sunlight and fresh air. However, Natalya Dmitrieva also creates works at her studio, and shares her experience of practical work with numerous students.
